When the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality decided to move into the former MCI Worldcom headquarters in Jackson, MS they quickly realized that they needed to do a lot of renovation work. With the help of architectural firm Cook Douglas Farr Lemons they were able to transform an old deteriorating office building into a showcase for the State of Mississippi. The existing EIFS exterior was removed down to the sheathing. All windows and curtainwall were removed. Centria Formawall Dimension Series panels and integrated windows were used to make the building new again on the outside. The result was a very modern looking office located in the heart of downtown Jackson.
